God’s Awesome Plan for Zion (The Redeemed)

By Rev. (Mrs) Ifeoma Fiiriter.

Will you join me and let’s declare unto God, “Oh, how great is Your goodness, Which You have laid up for those who fear You, Which You have prepared for those who trust in You In the presence of the sons of men!” (Psalm 31:19). It is interesting that God recognises and blesses those who fear Him and absolutely trust in Him. God’s first reference point in manifesting His goodness is to ZION—His chosen people (the Jews, see Romans 9:4-5). Thank God that through the shed blood of Jesus, we, who are originally Gentiles, have now been reconciled to God and grafted into God’s chosen family (see 1 Peter 2:9-10; Romans 9:24; 11:11,17), with the right and freedom to enjoy all of God’s blessings for our lives.

Recently, while studying the scriptures, the Holy Spirit opened my eyes to see afresh God’s awesome plan for ZION, letting me know what belongs to us, what we are to say and what we can expect from God, so we can focus our energy on the right outcomes. The first thing He showed me regarding Zion is that she is God’s chosen place, and that God is her Judge, Lawgiver, and King, saying, “Look upon Zion, the city of our appointed feasts; Your eyes will see Jerusalem, a quiet home, A tabernacle that will not be taken down; Not one of its stakes will ever be removed, Nor will any of its cords be broken. But there the majestic LORD will be for us A place of broad rivers and streams, In which no galley with oars will sail, Nor majestic ships pass by (For the LORD is our Judge, The LORD is our Lawgiver, The LORD is our King; He will save us) … And the inhabitant will not say, “I am sick”; The people who dwell in it will be forgiven their iniquity” (Isaiah 33:20-22, 24, emphasis mine).

The text reveals that God intends for Zion to be a place of serenity, refreshing, stability—not frail or broken down, a place where God will forever reign as Judge, lawgiver and King—offering salvation, health and total protection to her, to such a degree that the inhabitants of Zion shall no longer say that they are sick. Realise that sickness originated from sin. Thus the Psalmist by revelation rejoiced and blessed the Lord who forgave all his sins and healed all his diseases (Psalm 103:3). When sin is dealt with in our lives through our reckoning with what Jesus did for us on the Cross of Calvary and repenting of every sin we have committed, then sickness is forbidden by God to be in our lives. To enforce this law, we, God’s people, will walk by faith to bridle our tongues so we never ever confess that we are sick.

Does that mean we may not have or feel the symptoms of sickness in our bodies? No! All it means is that we do not endorse its existence in our bodies by tolerating it, giving it undue attention by confessing it, but rather we confess what God says in His word regarding us—that we are ZION, and we shall not say that we are sick. Why? Because His word reveals that Jesus “has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows … He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed (Isa. 53:4-5); But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings; And you shall go out And grow fat like stall-fed calves. You shall trample the wicked, For they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet” (Malachi 4:2).

Know that we have the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy with the assurance that nothing shall by any means hurt us (Luke 10:19). We can curse the root and seed of sickness to die in our lives and cast the demons behind them out of our lives, and it will be done in Jesus name. Zion shall no longer say that she is sick implies that you are forbidden by God to confess sickness but legally authorized by Him to confess divine health. Your job? To daily discover and load up your spirit with healing scriptures, meditate continually on these, and with your mouth daily confess them until your condition changes.

Often, we get lazy confessing healing scriptures or the relevant word of God for our situation because we do not see immediate manifestation. We need to see the scriptures as medicine our souls need to thrive in life, so we are to give it time to work the wonders of God in our lives and don’t quit on them just at the brink of the manifestation of our needed breakthroughs. If we are careful to strictly follow the instructions of our G.P’s or doctors, how much more should we be more careful to follow and obey the instructions of the Creator of all doctors, and the Maker of our bodies, who knows exactly what is wrong and how best to fix it for us without any negative side effects?

We need to always remember that we are the redeemed of the Lord, whom the Lord has redeemed from the hand of the enemy, and we are to say so (Psalm 107:1-2); As for Me,” says the LORD, “this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants’ descendants,” says the LORD, “from this time and forevermore … And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak” (2 Isaiah 59:21; Corinthians 4:13). Wow! This is serious business with God! We are to train ourselves to speak the word of God and also teach our descendants to do so.

Another thing the Holy Spirit revealed to me about ZION is that she is now in her set time of favour, and will enjoy the supernatural restoration of God, saying, “You will arise and have mercy on Zion; For the time to favor her, Yes, the set time, has come … For the LORD shall build up Zion; He shall appear in His glory. He shall regard the prayer of the destitute, And shall not despise their prayer … For the LORD will comfort Zion, He will comfort all her waste places; He will make her wilderness like Eden, And her desert like the garden of the LORD; Joy and gladness will be found in it, Thanksgiving and the voice of melody … So the ransomed of the LORD shall return, And come to Zion with singing, With everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness; Sorrow and sighing shall flee away. “ I, even I, am He who comforts you(Psalm 102:13, 16-17; Isa. 51:3, 11-12).

You see, committed fellowship with God is the key to divine intimacy and access to the blessings of God. When you set your face to seek God in prayer, He will answer you. He will also comfort you on every side and cause you to experience unusual favour and restoration in your life. On your part as Zion, you shall no longer say that you  are broke, busted, or rejected, but only affirm what God has said about you in His word. You are to prophesy the word of God over your life, knowing that it is effective in your own mouth if you are saved and walking in the reverential fear of God. As Zion, you should know that God’s grace is upon your life to live holy and possess all your inheritance (Obadiah 1:17) So daily, you are to fully expect to receive God’s comfort in your life and also see His restoration of all that the enemy has stolen from your life as you declare it by faith. Realise that expectation is the breeding ground for miracles, so put it to good use.

Let me just add one more thing the Lord revealed to me about ZION, saying that she should focus on declaring the great works of God in her midst: “The LORD has revealed our righteousness. Come and let us declare in Zion the work of the LORD our God” (Jeremiah 51:10). There is power in testimony. Not only does it glorify God, but it does build up the faith of other believers, and at the same time brings down Satan’s kingdom and power: “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony” (Rev. 12:11).

Here is a testimony from a lady who was blessed reading my book, Receive Your Healing Now: “Thank you so much for your book, “Receive Your Healing Now” which you gave to my husband and I. It really helped us so much especially the time I was sick. I really appreciate you and your kindness. God will surely shine His good face towards you when you are in need. He will not fail to attend unto you for you have been a reliever to so many souls. God bless you. This is your time to shine”—C.C., Nigeria. I say Amen to that testimony along with the prophecy spoken over my life by this person because I know that as a redeemed child of God, I am Zion, and it is truly my time to shine to the glory of God, and I am already shining.

Let me observe that my books are laced with the same tangible anointing of God that is on my life. Besides, they are filled with divine revelations born out of committed fellowship with God under whose direction and inspiration I write. So I am never surprised to receive testimonies from people who have been saved, healed, set free, filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, and also blessed in other ways as they read my books. The same I can also say with my music which is also blessing many lives. And in all of these I constantly give all the glory to God who empowers me to be what He wants me to be and do what He has called me to do.

Know that you can order my books and music today and be blessed through them too So why don’t you go ahead and do just that now, and we look forward to hearing your testimony too.  Never forget that if you are a natural Jew, or a believer in Christ Jesus, you are God’s Zion, and He will beautify you in every way (Psalm 48:1-3), as you commit to do and say only what God’s word says about you.
